Now the warranty is reduced to 2yrs or should I say 2 short sledding seasons. Brp knows but these 850 are far from 4 stroke reliability. Probably better than the old 800 mills, but still not great for a 25k initial purchase price. It all depends on how much you ride.

Anything from 2020 to 2021 was still considered on the fringe which I was not crediting for any value, but this changed at the beginning ... Remove the pipe and take the case cover off to drain and clean it out. Re-tap the holes, they are a M6-1.0, and replace the bolts. The bolts skidoo used are a POS and they have a tapered edge that will strip out the casing when you put them back in. Replace the case cover and refill via the breather opening. Sold mine with 9000 miles on it in 2015 (2012 that I bought brand new) never had 1 issue. I changed the chain case every 1200 miles lubed and adjusted the track every other ride and adjusted the belt when needed. Never even changed the plugs.
